In 2001, Jeff Kerr founded Kerr Real Estate (KRE) to focus on the acquisition and redevelopment of vacant and/or underperforming shopping centers. As managing member of KRE, Jeff Kerr is responsible for all business segments and brings more than 40 years of unparalleled experience as a leader in the retail development industry.
Before KRE, Mr. Kerr founded the Horizon Group, which he built into North America's largest developer and owner of outlet malls, successfully completing 37 centers in 20 states and eventually becoming a billion-dollar real estate investment trust.
Mr. Kerr began his career with a family-owned real estate company, Fairfield Corporation, where he quickly learned the fundamentals of shopping center development.
Mr. Kerr earned his BA with honors at the University of Southern California, is a former Trustee for the International Council of Shopping Centers and recipient of the Developer of the Year Award.
